  • What if your life depended on the generosity of a complete stranger?  That was the case for Dr. Maurie Cone.  The retired Dentist from New Jersey lost his wife to breast cancer & then learned that his kidney was failing him.  Without a donor, he wouldn't survive.  A woman from northern Michigan gave him the most precious gift.  In this special report, the pair takes us along on their remarkable journey.

  • Months after his death, Trooper Paul Butterfield's parents say their emotional wounds are far from healed, but his memory lives on.  Paul's name is now forever etched among thousands of others on the National Law Enforcement Memorial, in Washington D.C.  Trooper Butterfield died in September of 2013 -- Eric Knysz shot him during a traffic stop in Mason County.  In this two-part special report, Sara Simnitch sits down with the Butterfield family to learn how they're remembering the fallen Trooper.
